Welspun-Gujarat Stahl wins order worth Rs 5 billion
Welspun Gujarat Stahl Rohren Ltd (WGSRL), the world's second major line pipe conglomerate, has announced that it has won Rs 5 billion contracts from India and abroad.
According to the sources, the proposed orders will not only strengthen company's position as a sustainable organization with the ability to meet requirements for the toughest of projects, but it will also reaffirm its position as one of the leading Line Pipe making Companies in the World.

While commenting on the orders, Mr. B. K Goenka, vice chairman and managing director of Wlespun stated, "Even in the current economic scenario, we are proud to bag these outstanding orders. It is sheer hard work and dedication of each and every Welspunite which has won us these outstanding orders."
The sources further revealed that with these orders, the current order book position of the conglomerate stands at Rs 95 billion. Scrip of Welspun Gujarat Stahl Roh closed at Rs 93, plunged 5.92percent on National Stock Exchange (NSE). The total volume of shares traded at NSE was 312,253.
